We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We have an awesome host team that will greet and assist you as you walk into the door. We want to help make your first experience at The Sanctuary a great one!
SERVICE TIMES
The Sanctuary meets every week on Sundays and Wednesdays at 505 Lakeview Avenue, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
Sunday Worship Service: 9:30 AM & 10:30 AM
Wednesday Midweek Service: 7:30 PM
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
HOW LONG IS THE SANCTUARY’S SERVICE?
In total, a service is about 90 minutes in length. Services begin with The Sanctuary Worship Team leading the church in music. Song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can singalong and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of service is complete, our pastor will share an encouraging and Jesus-filled message.
WHAT’S THE CULTURE LIKE AT THE SANCTUARY?
Sunday mornings at The Sanctuary are exciting, fun, and engaging. Sundays include a worship experience followed by a message from our pastor. Wednesday evenings are casual, relaxed, and last for approximately one hour. During this time, we will engage in worship together followed by a practical life application from the Word of God. We absolutely love our church and we are eager to share it with you. Come as you are and expect to feel at home when you walk through the doors.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single weekend at The Sanctuary. Our priority is to provide a memorable time in a safe environment. We have safety measures in place so that you feel comfortable allowing your child/children to be a part of our Sanctuary Kids Ministry. Kids church is offered every Wednesday evening after worship at 7:30pm for kids ages 4-11.
Our Sanctuary nursery is for ages infant through age 3, which is offered every regularly scheduled service. We offer a check-in process for the safety of your babies. Should we need to reach you during the service we have a paging system that will alert you on the pager.
No need to RSVP for your first time at The Sanctuary. We look forward to meeting you upon your arrival in our foyer area. We would love to insure your first experience at The Sanctuary to be a great one.
